NEW Resource: Understanding your child’s mental health- Guidance and support for parents and carers. – the Public Health team have worked in conjunction with partners to put together this new toolkit for parents and carers. It is designed to help parents and carers to think about practical ways to understand and support their children’s mental health and wellbeing. Shout - In crisis?
Shout is a free, confidential, 24/7 text support service for anyone in the UK who is struggling to cope.
To start a conversation, text the word 'SHOUT' to 85258. Trained volunteers are there to listen at any time of day or night, and messages won't appear on your phone bill.

Nip in the Bud
Nip in the Bud works with mental health professionals of the highest standing to produce FREE short evidence-based films and fact sheets to help parents, educationalists and other working with children to recognise potential mental health conditions. The goal is to increase the prospects of early intervention and avoid those conditions becoming more serious in later years.
