The Downend Lesson draws on the CSET Teaching Framework, which collates the best evidence on Teaching and Learning. Where the CSET Teaching Framework covers many aspects of the outward display of teaching expertise and the layers that sit behind that expertise, The Downend Lesson aims to provide some lesson expectations for all Downend teachers to adhere to in order to create consistency of student experience and implement what we know are the ‘best bets’ to develop student knowledge and understanding.
